What is a vinyl car wrap?
A vinyl wrap is a large sheet of adhesive film applied over your factory paint to change the colour or finish. It is not paint and it is not permanent. It comes off later and the original paint is still underneath.
How long does a vinyl wrap last?
Cast vinyl from a major manufacturer generally holds up around five to seven years in New Jersey conditions. Our winters bring road salt and freeze-thaw cycles and our summers bring sustained UV and humidity, all of which are harder on film than a mild climate.
Will a wrap damage my paint?
A wrap installed on sound paint protects it rather than harming it. The problems come from cheap calendered film that shrinks and lifts, or from installing over paint that was already chipped or peeling, because film seals in whatever is underneath it.
Can a wrap be removed?
Yes, and that reversibility is one of the main reasons people choose vinyl over repainting. Removal is cleanest when the film comes off before it has aged past its rated life.
How long does installation take?
A full wrap takes 5 to 7 business days. Partial work like a roof, mirrors or a chrome delete is much quicker. If the paint needs correction first, that adds time on top.
What warranty do you offer on wraps?
Vinyl wraps here carry a 3 year warranty against bubbling and peeling. We also do a 1 month inspection after installation and a yearly inspection after that.
Where are you located and what areas do you serve?
Our studio is at 13 E Moonachie Rd in Hackensack, New Jersey, and we work on cars from across New Jersey, New York City and Connecticut. Installation happens indoors in a climate-controlled bay, which matters because temperature and dust both affect how film lays down.
