CERAMIC TINT, FITTED TO NEW JERSEY LAW
Ceramic tint uses a metal-free layer that rejects infrared heat rather than just darkening the glass, so the cabin stays cooler without killing your phone signal. Dyed film only shades. It fades, and the heat still comes through.
New Jersey does not allow tint on the windshield or the front side windows. Everything behind the driver is unrestricted, so you can go as dark as you like back there. We will walk you through it before anything gets cut.
Most cars are in and out the same day. Every window is measured and the film is cut before it ever touches the glass, so no blades come near your seals or defroster lines. Old, purple or bubbling film comes off in the same visit, and the new film is backed by the manufacturer’s warranty because we are certified to install it.

Frequently asked questions
Is window tint legal in New Jersey?
Partly. New Jersey allows tint on the rear window and the rear side windows at any darkness. It does not allow tint on the windshield or on the front side windows. That rule is stricter than most states, so film that was legal where you moved from may not be legal here.
How dark can I go on the back windows?
As dark as you want. There is no VLT limit behind the driver in New Jersey, which is why most cars we do get a light or no tint up front and a much darker shade in the back.
What is ceramic tint and why does it cost more?
Ceramic film carries no metal and no dye. It rejects infrared heat, which is the part of sunlight you actually feel, so the cabin stays cooler at the same shade. It does not interfere with phone, GPS or radio signal, and it holds its colour instead of turning purple. Dyed film only darkens the glass.
What film do you use?
LLumar and GSWF. Both are ceramic and both carry a manufacturer warranty. We are a certified GSWF shop, which is what makes that warranty worth something.
How long does tinting take?
Most cars are done in a day. The film needs a few days to fully cure after that, so leave the windows up and expect some haze or small water pockets in the meantime. They clear on their own.
Can you take old tint off?
Yes. Old film that has gone purple or started bubbling comes off along with the adhesive. Rear windows need care because the defroster lines sit on the inside of the glass and a rushed removal lifts them.
Will tint help in winter too?
Yes. The same layer that keeps heat out also slows heat leaving the cabin, and it cuts the low winter sun glare that sits right at eye level on Route 17 in the afternoon.
