Common questions from New York
Where do New York City customers drop the car off?
At our Hackensack, NJ studio, 13 E Moonachie Rd, Hackensack, NJ 07601, a few minutes past the George Washington Bridge off Route 80 and Route 17. Hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 4pm.
Which parts of New York do you serve?
Most of our New York customers come from Manhattan, the Bronx, Queens, Brooklyn and Westchester. For northern Westchester and Putnam our Danbury, CT location is often the shorter drive.
Is it worth the trip from the city for a wrap?
A full color change or full body PPF keeps the car for about a week either way, so the drive is a small part of the job. Drop off, take the bus or train back over the bridge, and pick up when it is done.
Is my New York window tint legal after you install it?
New York requires 70% light transmission on the windshield and front side windows of any vehicle, and on the rear side windows of passenger cars. We install ceramic film that meets that. Vans, SUVs and trucks have no rear glass restriction.
Do you handle Tesla and other soft-paint cars from NYC?
Yes, and it is a large share of what we do. Tesla paint reads at the low end of the normal range, so front-end PPF before winter is the common request. See our Tesla pages for the details.
