Paterson sits about twenty minutes west of our Hackensack shop, straight across Route 80. It is close enough that most people drop the car in the morning and get on with their day, which is the part worth planning around.
Here is what actually happens between the first text and picking the car up.
Getting here from Paterson
We are at 13 E Moonachie Rd, Hackensack, NJ 07601, near where Route 17 meets Route 80. From most of Paterson that is Route 80 east, then south on 17, roughly twenty to twenty five minutes outside rush hour. Add fifteen if you are coming between 7am and 9am.
The work happens indoors, in a controlled bay. That matters more than it sounds: film has a minimum application temperature, and dust in the air during install is the thing that turns into a flaw you can see later.
How long we keep the car
| Service | Time in the shop | Warranty |
|---|---|---|
| Window tint | Drop off, pick up next morning | Lifetime on the ceramic film |
| Headlight tint | Drop off, pick up next morning | 3 years, bubbling and peeling |
| Chrome delete | Usually same visit | 3 years, bubbling and peeling |
| Full color change wrap | 3 to 5 days | 3 years, bubbling and peeling |
| Paint protection film | Several days, depends on coverage | 10 years on our workmanship, plus the film manufacturer’s own |
| Ceramic coating | About 3 days | Varies by product |
The vinyl warranty covers bubbling and peeling. It does not cover fading or discoloration, and we would rather say that up front than have you find out in year three. Vinyl itself generally lasts two to three years depending on how the car is kept and whether it lives outside.
What to sort out before you come
- Finish before color. Gloss, satin, matte, stealth, metallic and frozen all read completely differently on the same color. We wrote up what the finishes actually look like, but samples in your hand beat any screen.
- Paint condition. Film goes on healthy factory paint. Peeling clear coat, fresh repairs or a cheap respray are the cases that cause trouble, and we would rather look first than wrap over a problem.
- Wrap or paint protection film. A wrap changes the color. PPF protects the paint, and color PPF does both. Worth deciding before you pick a color, because the ranges differ.
- Parts and trim. Tell us about a body kit, aftermarket bumper or anything already resprayed, so the quote is not a surprise later.
Booking and the deposit
Text or call (201) 379-0902 with your year, make and model, what you want done and a few photos of the car in daylight. That is usually enough for a real number rather than a range.
A date on the calendar needs a deposit, which is half the price before tax. That is what holds the bay and gets the material ordered in your color. Film gets ordered for your specific car, which is also why the deposit does not come back if you change your mind.
FAQ
How far is the shop from Paterson?
About twenty to twenty five minutes outside rush hour, Route 80 east then south on 17. We are at 13 E Moonachie Rd in Hackensack.
Can I wait while the car is done?
For a wrap or PPF, no. The car stays with us for several days. Tint is drop off and pick up the next morning.
Do you do mobile installs in Paterson?
No. Film needs a clean indoor bay at a controlled temperature. Doing it in a driveway is how you get dust and lifted edges.
What does a wrap cost?
It depends on the car, the coverage and the film. Send photos and the model and we will give you a real figure rather than a guess.
How long does a wrap last?
Two to three years for vinyl, depending on maintenance and whether the car is garaged. The three year warranty covers bubbling and peeling, not fading.
Can you wrap a leased car?
Yes, and it is one of the better reasons to wrap. The factory paint sits under the film and comes back when it is removed, as long as that paint was healthy to begin with.
Come see the film first
Colors and finishes do not photograph honestly. The same film looks one way under our shop lights, another in the sun, and different again across your own car’s body lines.
Bring the car by and we will hold samples against your own paint. Our Paterson page has the service list, and the Hackensack shop page has directions and hours.
